It’s always so fun to watch the little lambs get bigger and more playful. I love seeing them bounce around the field, playing with each other. These three sweet girls are sold and will be going to their new home at the end of April.

Big day! We’ve finally gotten rid of the horrible, ugly, inefficient gas fireplace that we had and have now replaced it with a nice new one. This one looks beautiful and actually puts out some amazing heat, so it will complement the heat pump well in the coldest months. Now for the tile surround, mantle and hearth.

We had an absolutely gorgeous weekend of sunshine and warm temperatures! Lots of gardening was done, and the greenhouse is bursting with green life. This morning I couldn’t resist cutting some hellebores for a bouquet, since they are looking so beautiful.

Now that poor Jasper is basically bald, he can’t hack the cool temps. His shivering was making me feel terrible so I bought him this very handsome polar fleece sweater. I think he’s cozy now, plus he’s really working it for the camera!

These pups are really taking liberties with the blankets today. Jasper just got a new hair cut and is probably pretty cold, but Rosie!

We have just a couple more days of relaxing at our casita. It’s been so lovely to soak in the sun, lounge by the pool, and explore the beaches. I think though that this will be our last ever visit to Sayulita.

While we were away, Poppy gave birth to a single ewe lamb. Cutie pie! Not sure what to name her, but thinking maybe Pansy or Penny.

We’ve arrived in Sayulita, yet again, this time for a quick week of R&R. We’re staying at a wonderful little casita atop a hill (Carricitas), surrounded by jungle and with a stunning view of the ocean. It’s so nice to be removed from the dusty, dirty chaos of the town. Days before our arrival, we learned that a sewer main broke, spilling into the bay and essentially contaminating the whole town with fecal coliform. We’re already used to there being a risk of getting sick in Sayulita, but this time there was no avoiding it. Norovirus was spreading like wildfire. I caught it the second or third day of our stay and spent 24 hours puking and feeling quite terrible. Not much appetite recovery in the remaining days of our trip, but otherwise the rest was fine, until the day after our return home when Jess came down with it. Ugh.
