Our great friend Gundeep invited us over for dinner and drinks this evening, and she whipped up an incredibly tasty Indian feast! It’s been a while since we hung out, so it was a nice chance to catch up, and what a treat to have someone to cook for me.

Thursday night, the start of the Easter long weekend, so Jess and I went to play some pinball followed by dinner at Yua, where they have excellent ramen and bento boxes.

I cannot get over this greenouse. It has seriously leveled up our gardening game, allowing us to grow spinach in the dead of winter, as well enabling us to start seeds much earlier than normal. Very exciting indeed.

It’s mulching season, and Jess ordered a huge dump truck full of wood chips, which arrived today.

Last fall Jess planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs along the fence line of the old riding ring (now an amazing fruit and veggie garden), and this is their moment to shine. They look stunning back there!

It’s always so fun to watch the little lambs get bigger and more playful. I love seeing them bounce around the field, playing with each other. These three sweet girls are sold and will be going to their new home at the end of April.

Big day! We’ve finally gotten rid of the horrible, ugly, inefficient gas fireplace that we had and have now replaced it with a nice new one. This one looks beautiful and actually puts out some amazing heat, so it will complement the heat pump well in the coldest months. Now for the tile surround, mantle and hearth.

We had an absolutely gorgeous weekend of sunshine and warm temperatures! Lots of gardening was done, and the greenhouse is bursting with green life. This morning I couldn’t resist cutting some hellebores for a bouquet, since they are looking so beautiful.
